The aim of the project was the investigation of a structural behavior and fracture mechanisms of polymer matrix composites subjected to low-velocity impact loading and further cyclic loading in such a way that the self-heating effect occurs during the loading. As the result of implementation of this project the hybrid method of evaluation of composite structures with impact damage was developed, which combines simultaneous evaluation of fatigue limit and identification of impact damage properties using self-heating based vibrothermography NDT technique.
